Biography

Markus Alexander Giebel (born 29 September 1966) is the CEO of Insight Plus, an investment company active in real estate, financial services, healthcare and consulting. He is also the co-owner and Chairman of Eternity Clinics (www.eternityclinics.com) a healthcare company revolutionizing the traditional model of diagnostic healthcarewith the invention and introduction of a new health screening software. Markus serves on multiple Boards of Directors, including Insight Plus, Soliton Holding, Eternity Clinics, CiTC and MSS. He holds a Master's Degree in Business from SBS in Switzerland and a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Munich in Germany. He was also known to be the CEO of Deyaar Development PJSC (a publicly traded real estate company), and was a Senior Executive and the youngest ever Vice President of Corning, a Fortune 500 company in the United States. Markus has received several awards, including the Middle East CEO Award, the Leadership award, HIMSS Innovation award, SME Award, Enterprise Asia Award, Inventor of the Year Award and others.He has more than 20 patents in his name which are primarily focused in the opticaltechnology sector.

Career

In 2017, Markus became CEO of Insight Plus, a Dubai-based investment firm with global reach managing projects worth several billion dollars, focusing on real estate, financial services and healthcare.

Since 2013 Markus has been CEO of Eternity Clinics, Managing Partner of Soliton Holding, and Chairman of CiTC, actively involved in healthcare, financial services and trading sectors.

In 2008, Markus was appointed CEO of Deyaar Development PJSC. He was leading one of the largest real estate developers in Dubai overseeing assets and development projects worth over US$3 billion.

In 1999, Markus became the youngest Vice President of Corning after the acquisition of Siemens NK, with full P&L responsibility for the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and Private Networks Group in Europe and the Middle East. He was a member of the M&A team which acquired Siemens NK.

Markus Giebel joined as a Product Manager at Siecor (JV between Siemens and Corning), NC, USA in 1993 and was selected to participate in an 18-month Trainee Program. He was promoted to Product Manager in 1995 and developed the connectivity strategy for Siecor.
