Mariah Matovu also known as Maria Matovu is an American fashion model; her first modeling job was with Macy's and Bloomingdale's benefiting cancer patients at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. In 2014 Mariah held the title for Miss Santa Barbara in America's It Girl competition that was aired on WETV. Mariah is a graduate of Santa Monica College and California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
Early life
Maria was born in Uganda, raised in both Denmark and East Africa. At an early age while living and going to school in Copenhagen, Denmark, she enrolled in a beauty pageant contest, came up third runner up and has been modeling since then.
Career
Her first modeling Job in the United States, was a runway show for Macy's and Bloomingdale's benefiting cancer victims at the skirball cultural center in Los Angeles California. And has been modeling since then, Maria Matovu has appeared in Catalogs, Magazines, worked with many outstanding photographers/ artists and Musicians in Southern California, South Florida, Arizona, Hawaii and East Africa.
Charity
Philanthropy and Charity Organizations: Maria Matovu is an advocate at Safer an organization in San Luis Obispo that Spreads awareness against sexual violence and domestic abuse. Matovu is also the Founder HIV Survivors. A non-profit organization aimed at helping people living with HIV and AIDs. The organization raises funds to build schools in remote areas in Uganda for children who can not afford to pay for a full education.
