Biography
Dr. Maral Yazarloo was born on 18 November 1981 in Iran.
Her family consists of her mom, dad and two brothers.
Early life & Education
She completed her graduation in BBA from Tehran and then moved to India in 2004 to pursue her MBA which was followed by a PhD in Marketing from the University of Pune.
While she was in school, she had a myriad of hobbies and activities which included yoga, meditation, playing the ‘tar’ (a stringed long-necked Persian instrument), volleyball, karate (she has a black belt), softball,water & snow skiing, painting and travelling. She was also the captain of swimming at her university and was a karate coach.
Adding to the above-mentioned, Dr Maral Yazarloo is an accomplished painter and has had five exhibitions showcasing her artwork on ceramic and canvas. An artist in her own right, her paintings show her strong passion for mixing colours and textures. The same talent can be clearly seen in her designs as well.

In the 10 years of her corporate career at one of India's leading realty developing firms – Panchshil Realty, Dr. Maral Yazarloo has headed the Corporate Communications department for two and a half years and is currently the Head of Retail.
Designer Profile
She dreamt of setting up an independent fashion label since her childhood. After her PhD in Marketing, she launched her brand in Paris. Maral believes in incorporating subtle styles of yesterday into urban fashions for the present times. The silhouettes are modern and a deep thought process is put into the placement of artwork and embellishments on every piece that is made at Maral Yazarloo.
Later, for the sake of self accomplishment, she studied design in Milan from the International European Design School. Dr. Maral aims at globalizing Maral Yazarloo by catering to all segments of the society by displaying a unique mixture of her personal tastes in each collection she lines up.
Catering to various age groups in the space of Fashion & Lifestyle, Dr. Maral is soon coming up with sub-brands under the label.
The different facets of Dr. Maral influence the distinct lines under the brand Maral Yazarloo. The artist in her brings the colours and textures and the traveller in her gives a distinct perspective of different cultures. That is a strong point for her as she maintains the balance between modernity and culture which make her designs unique. Her corporate career contributes to the office and formal wear. Being an avid motorcycling enthusiast herself, she also has a line of fashion biker wear.
Owing to her vast knowledge in the field of fashion, retail and marketing, Dr Maral is often invited to talk about fashion, marketing and retail. She was one of the panelists at the retail forum in Las Vegas to speak on the Indian market . Apart from this she has also been a part of the LFS (Luxury, Fashion & Style) Conclave organized by FAD international & ADL Milan to give her views on the future of luxury brands in India. Adding to the list, she was recently asked to give a lecture to the students and also judge the final year graduation students at the Virginia Commonwealth University of Qatar and has also given a lecture in Symbiosis on role of women in the corporate world.
Biking Profile
Dr Maral Yazarloo fell in love with Harley Davidson when she was seven years old. Two decades later, she bought her first Harley, a Forty-Eight and then moved on to the more powerful Night Rod. She has clocked the highest mileage on the road by any female Harley rider in India and has since then become one of Harley-Davidson’s most committed female riders. She is the first lady owner of Ducati Diavel and a BMW GS in India combining over 120,000 km on all her bikes.
An avid backpacker, she has travelled across 67 countries. She considers her mother as her role model and inspiration and loves travelling and backpacking. Being an adventure lover, Maral has gone on various trips across the country on her bike with her club (HOI) and loves going on solo rides. Dr. Maral has gone on rides to Dubai, Qatar, Egypt, Italy and Swiss (Alps). She is India’s first and only female rider who was a part of the international HOG ride 2014 from Pune to Bhutan. She is an experienced rider and can cover distances up to 1500 km each day, depending on the condition of the road and the destination. She was one of the officers of the Pune Chapter in 2015 and has been announced the Vice President of DOC (Ducati Owner Club of India) in 2016. Dr. Maral Yazarloo is the founder of the first lady super biker club of India 'Lady Riders of India' and her initiative speaks volumes in support of the changing perception of lady bikers in India.
In March 2017, she is starting her dream ride called “Ride to be ONE” around the globe, from India to Alaska to South America and Africa and Europe to India (via Iran) along with her fellow rider; where in she will be the first Iranian rider to ever go on a global ride that will take a span of 15 months of riding on the same bike.
Dr. Maral believes that strength and confidence come from the mind, and riding the bike gives her a sense of achievement. For her, riding her bikes is more than a thrill; it is a form of meditation and it was one of the best decisions she took in life, wholly and solely for her own happiness.
