Mahmoud Hassan (Egyptian Arabic: محمود حسن), commonly known as Trézéguet (born 1 October 1994) is an Egyptian professional footballer who plays for Belgian club Excel Mouscron on loan from Anderlecht and the Egypt national team as a midfielder.
Club career
Al Ahly
Hassan is a product of the Al Ahly youth academy. His first appearance for the first team was in the 2012 CAF Champions League.
In April 2013, he was offered a trial for French side Nice after playing well in the U20 African Youth Cup. In December 2013, he was linked with European clubs including Celtic and Nottingham Forest.
Anderlecht (loan)
On 6 August 2015, Trézéguet joined Belgian side Anderlecht on loan with Anderlecht gaining an option to permanently sign him after the season-long loan. He made his official debut on 27 December 2015 against Westerlo as he replaced Dodi Lukebakio in the 82nd minute.
Anderlecht
In March 2016, Anderlecht announced they would exercise their option to sign Trézéguet permanently from Al Ahly for a reported transfer fee of €2.2 million. In May the move was completed.
International career
On 20 June 2013, he scored a goal against England at the 2013 U-20 World Cup.
