She has been playing music from a young age. It also helped that her father, who works with an advertising firm, can play the guitar and her mother can sing. She began writing songs since about the age of 7, and then picked up the piano, followed by the drums and then the guitar. She actually was interested in playing drums from the start, however, her music teacher wouldn't teach her drums until she had spent two years learning the piano. The first song she learned was a song by the Australian Christian rock band Newsboys. (Trivia: Newsboys is headed by Peter Furler, who is the cousin of singer Sia).
Bailey graduated from Boyceville High School, Boyceville, Wisconsin, in 2011. At the school, she played in the marching band. Earlier, she attended Grahams Elementary School.
