Biography

Madhira Subbanna Deekshitulu (1868-1928) is the creator of the famous Kasi Majilee Kathalu, series of short stories in Telugu language, known for their wit and humor.
He is a famous Telugu author who at the peak of his career, sold the rights to his stories to a publisher in Rajahmundry.
Four of his stories have been made into Telugu feature films:
Gulebakavali Katha (1962) (uncredited) (novel Kasimajili Kathalu)
Sahasra Siracheda Apoorva Chinthamani (1960) (from Kasi Majili Kathalu) (uncredited)
Patala Bhairavi (1951) (uncredited)
Navvite Navaratnalu (1951) (uncredited) (novel Kaasi Majili Kathalu)
