Biography
Luis Silva Irarrázaval (born in Santiago, March 24, 1978) is a Chilean lawyer, academic and former Constitutional Council member. In the 2023 Chilean Constitutional Council election held on May 7, 2023, he was elected with a total of 706,286 votes, 17.96% of the votes in the Santiago Metropolitan Region. He was the most voted person in the election.
He is the son of the lawyer Luis Alejandro Silva Valdés and the journalist Soledad Irarrázaval Alfonso. He is the oldest of seven siblings among which is the director and screenwriter Sebastián Silva.
Silva is known in social media as "Profe Silva".
