Biography

Lucas R. Baiano (born July 20, 1988) is an American political filmmaker. Baiano has been employed as a director by the Republican Governors Association and presidential campaigns of Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Tim Pawlenty, and Rick Perry.
Baiano received attention following a brief 2007 film pitch to former U.S. president Bill Clinton and his production of a campaign film promoting the 2008 presidential campaign of U.S. senator Hillary Clinton. Baiano's film was then picked up by Hillblazers, Hillary Clinton's official youth program. Once Clinton conceded, Baiano went to work with the John McCain presidential campaign.
He is currently working with Republican Texas Governor Rick Perry's 2012 presidential campaign after previously working for former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty.

Biography

Baiano, born in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, of an American-born mother, started his work in film at the age of 16, forming Vision Films (now called Lumiere Films), a film company of his own through which he acquired work with Nestle Canada, Ontario Travel and Petro-Canada. The United Nations uses one of the films Baiano produced to promote awareness of the Holocaust.

After acquiring tickets to a Meet and Greet at a book lecture in Toronto with Bill Clinton, Baiano briefly met the former President to pitch an idea to make a campaign video for his wife Hillary Clinton. Baiano produced a three-minute video from the six hours of raw footage he was provided. On January 21, 2008, Baiano spoke with Canada AM about his video and his experience from working with the Clintons/Campaign. Baiano's video has been featured on Hillary Clinton's official youth program/support sites; hillblazers.com.

Baiano produced a documentary film 'Lucky Strike' after the 2008 cycle which was screened at the Politics on Film International Film Festival in 2010 detailing his experiences with the Clinton campaign and the video. In 2010, Baiano joined the Republican Governors Association as Director of Film and Visual Media. Baiano received four Pollie Awards for his ads in 2011.

In 2010, Baiano was acquired by the Republican Governors Association as Director of Film and Visual Media.

In 2011, Baiano was hired by Republican former Minnesota Governor and potential 2012 presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty. Pawlenty dropped out of the presidential race in August 2011 and Baiano joined the Rick Perry campaign in September.
