Biography

Lisa Falzone is an American businesswoman who currently serves as the CEO and co-founder of Revel Systems POS, an iPad point of sale company. She has raised over $115 million in venture capital funding for Revel Systems, and the company has more than 400 employees worldwide. Lisa has helped the company establish strategic partnerships with Apple Computers as well as Intuit to create Quickbooks Point of Sale Powered by Revel Systems. Lisa has been recognized as a young female entrepreneur, through Fortune ’40 Under 40’, Forbes ’30 Under 30,’ the Business Insider “30 Most Important Women Under 30 In Tech.” and the San Francisco Business Times ’40 Under 40.’ Some of Revel’s clients include the following (or franchisees of the following): Smoothie King, Tully’s Coffee, Little Caesars Pizza, Legends Hospitality, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen, Illy Coffee, Dairy Queen, Forever Yogurt, and Twistee Treat, among others. Revel has partnered with retail giants Belkin and Goodwill.

Education

Falzone graduated from Stanford University in 2007. She swam three seasons for Stanford, scoring points at the Pac-10 championships in all three seasons and winning two conference titles as a member of the Cardinal swimming program in 2004 and 2005.

Career

Falzone’s first job was teaching swimming lessons. She had internships which included experience in finance, public relations, marketing, human resources, and venture capital. After graduating, Falzone started a distribution company for Brazilian bathing suits. After herniating a disk in her back, Falzone started a blog that featured inspirational quotes by and for entrepreneurs. She met her business partner Chris Ciabarra on the blog. The two later created an iPhone ordering app where a customer could view a menu, order, and pay for items. Together Falzone and Ciabarra founded Revel Systems, a company that makes iPad point of sale systems, in 2010. Falzone became CEO of the company.

In 2014, Falzone was recognized by Business Insider as one of the 30 Most Important Women Under 30 in Tech and Forbes Magazine recognized her in its 30 under 30 awards as well. In 2015, Falzone was recognized by Fortune Magazine as no. 19 on the 40 Under 40 list as well as the Forbes list of Eight Rising Stars.
