Biography
Leslie Reid (born 1947) is a Canadian painter and printmaker.
Life and work
Reid was born in Ottawa, Ontario in 1947. She earned a degree in art history and political science from Queen's University. After graduation, she proceeded to study art at various institutions, including the Byam Shaw School of Art, the Slade School of Fine Art, and Chelsea School of Art and Design. In 1972, she began teaching drawing and painting at the University of Ottawa. She was elected to the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts in 1977. In 2002, she retired from teaching at this University.
