Personal life
Jenai was married to Greg Glassman in the years 2000-2009. Jenai, a hairdresser at the time, was one of Glassman's clients. The two fell in love and married. The marriage went sour and they filed for a divorce in 2009. The long, messy process stretched from 2009 to 2013, and Jenai received an estimated $20 million during the divorce settlement for her role in creating the CrossFit franchise. The couple had four children together, two boys and two girls, before the divorce.
In October 2019, Daily Mail reported that Jenai would be marrying her boyfriend Franklin Tyrone Tucker. Jenai and Tucker were friends in high school and they reconnected over Facebook before he was accused of murder in 2017. The couple announced their plan to wed, however, the prosecutor in the case refused to sign off on the wedding plans.
Tucker, also known as Ty, is facing charges of first-degree murder for a Florida robbery-gone-wrong that left one dead, although he continues to maintain his innocence. He and another man, Rory Hank Wilson, were charged with first-degree murder for the fatal stabbing of 59-year-old Matthew Bonnett. The man was stabbed as he approached a shanty tree house belonging to his neighbor, Paula Belmonte.
Later, Tucker began staying in Jenai's Oregon home as he awaited trial. In an interview with Oxygen, Jenai commented:
Ty and I have been eager to be married, but with him on house arrest, initially, we thought we should wait. But since we all have been on some level of ‘house arrest’ we realized there is no time like the present, and that we could have a lovely wedding from home.
