Biography

Chelsea Anne Green (born April 4, 1991) is a Canadian stunt woman, bodybuilder and professional wrestler, currently signed to Impact Wrestling under the ring name Laurel Van Ness and occasionally competing in Canadian independent promotions under her real name. In 2015, Green was a contestant on WWE Tough Enough after being brought on as a replacement for Dianna Dahlgren.

Professional wrestling career

WWE (2014–2015)

During the feud between Brie Bella and Stephanie McMahon, she made an appearance during a segment on the August 11 episode of Raw as Daniel Bryan's physical therapist, Megan Miller, who confessed to having an affair with her client. An infuriated Brie stormed into the ring and slapped Megan before attacking Stephanie.

In 2015, Green appeared as a contestant on the sixth season of the re-launched Tough Enough finishing in fourth place for the females.

Independent circuit (2014–present)

Under her new ring name Jaida, she wrestled on for Elite Canadian Championship Wrestling. Her first match on May 31, 2014, at ECCW Better Than You. She teamed with Brady Malibu & MR2 in a losing six-man tag match against Billy Suede, Kenny Lush & Nicole Matthews. She next joined a Women's title tournament, winning the first round against Kaitlin Diamond. By December 8, 2014, at the conclusion of the Women's title tournament held at ECCW Payoff, beat Kate Carney in the semi finals.

On January 17, 2015, at ECCW Ballroom Brawl 3, Jaida teamed with Cat Power to defeat Bambi Hall & Veda Scott. The next month on February 7, at ECCW Blockbuster, she unsuccessfully wrestled Women's Champion Cat Power for the championship.

Chelsea Green competed in the ASW Girls Gone Wrestling Championship tournament in July 2015, defeating Bambi Hall in a qualifying match. In the semi finals Chelsea defeated Kat Von Heez. At the match finals, she defeated Gisele Shaw to win the vacant ASW Women's Championship. At ASW Girls Gone Wild. Green later successfully defended the specialized 'ASW Girls Gone Wild title against the challenger Vixen, Malia Hosaka and Bambi Hall.

On November 29, 2015 at QOC 7, Green debuted and lost to Crazy Mary Dobson. One year later at QOC on November 27, 2016 Green defeated Rachael Ellering.

In 2016, Green toured Japan twice for World Wonder Ring Stardom. Her first tour being three months long, cut short by a broken collarbone while wrestling in India. Green's second tour of Japan was in late 2016, where she teamed with Santana Garrett for the 2016 Goddesses of Stardom Tag League. During this tour, Green also challenged Wonder of Stardom Champion Kairi Hojo to a match where Green lost to Hojo's diving elbow in a 15 minute match. Green was undefeated in singles bouts in Japan, prior to her loss to Hojo.

Green joined a team of wrestlers in February 2016 and travelled to India to unveil The Great Khali's new promotion and wrestling school "CWE". The workers put on two shows around India which drew crowds of more than 50,000 people. In Greens first match in India (a tag match of Green & Garrett vs Forbes & Michelle), she broke her collarbone while taking a hurricanrana. Green continued with the match and was airlifted to a hospital in Dehradun for surgery the next day.

On February 20, 2017; Green was announced to be apart of the newly formed Canuck Pro roster.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling / Impact Wrestling (2016–present)

On January 7, 2016, Green made her TNA debut, losing to Jade. The following night on January 8 at TNA One Night Only: Live!, Green wrestled in a TNA Knockouts Championship #1 Contenders match, entering the ongoing match at number four before her elimination by Kong. On the July 14 Impact Wrestling tapings, Green wrestled her third match, winning a dark match against Moose Knuckles.

In June, Green officially signed with TNA. She made her television debut as a heel on the September 29 episode of Impact Wrestling under the ring name Laurel Van Ness, defeating Madison Rayne.

On the October 20 episode of Impact Wrestling, Laurel attacked Allie which lead into a match between the two where Laurel won. Laurel attacked Allie again the following week, which lead into another match between the two on the December 8 episode of Impact Wrestling, Laurel was defeated.

After being on-screen relationship with Braxton Sutter (who was being blackmailed) on Impact Wrestling, Laurel got rejected by Braxton during their wedding when he announced that he's still in love with Allie (who's actually Braxton's wife in real life). The following week of Impact Wrestling, the Lady Squad was quietly ended when her former ally Maria's contract expired. Ever since the "wedding", Laurel has started a maniacal gimmick in Impact Wrestling, still wearing the wedding dress, having messed-up make-up, and always carrying a wine bottle while remaining obsessed with getting Braxton to change his mind, and getting revenge on Allie.

Personal life

Green cited that she watched WWE in elementary school, and that growing up her favorite wrestlers were Bret Hart, Steve Austin, and Trish Stratus. Green says that Lance Storm and Billy Gunn are the most influential people in her career, and that she took her first bump in Storm's ring. Green said she loved working with Gail Kim at Impact Wrestling. In April 2017, it was revealed that she is in a relationship with WWE wrestler Zack Ryder.
