Biography
Larysa Mudrak is a Ukrainian journalist on Hromadske Radio and a Deputy Head of he National Council of Ukraine on TV and Radio Broadcasting.
Early life
Larysa Mudrak is a graduate of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv where she obtained her degree in journalism. She got her master's degree in foreign policy at the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine and then took courses at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. Larysa also completed courses at the International Modern Media Institute in the United States.
Career
Larysa began her career in 1992 as a head of Nauka-Fantastyka magazine and later became its Deputy Editor-in-Chief. From 1993 to 2003 she worked as a presenter at the Radio Liberty and later worked at the same field in TV programs such as Vikna on channels TET and ICTV respectively. Larysa then started working for various newspapers; She was a CEO of Novoe Russkoe Slovo and an Editir-in-Chief of Ukrainian versions of Business Week and Financial Times. From 2005 to 2010 she worked for Presidential Secretary of Ukraine under whom she was responsible for information policy department. From 2012 to 2014 Larysa represented her homeland at the Steering Committee on Media and Information Society and then was hired by Hromadske Radio in 2014.
