Krystyna Ścibor-Bogusławska

Krystyna Ścibor-Bogusławska (?-1783) was a Polish Lady of regality in Wągłczew appointed by King Poniatowski.

Born into the powerful coat of arms of Ostoja she was the daughter of Anna Jankowski and Franciszek Ścibor-Bogusławski, a captain of the National Cavalry. She was also paternal granddaughter of Catherine of Gorzyńskich and Andrzej Ścibor-Bogusławski an instigator at the royal Court, regent of a borough, and bailiff of Łęczyca and Sieradz. She had two sisters, Julianna who married Joseph Kurcewskiego, the bailiff of Wieluń and Tekla Elizabeth who married Michael Mokrskiego, (Chamberlain) and two brothers, Maximilian and Louis Bartholomew.

Krystyna Bogusławska was the wife of Anthony Łubieński the governor of Wągłczew, who was the son of Victoria Sariusz-Kałowskiej and Alexander Łubieński also the governor in Wągłczew. After the death of her husband was on November 1, 1773, King Stanisław August Poniatowski made her Governor of Wągłczew for life. This was unusual at the time.

Later She remarried, to Joseph Byszewski, an Army colonel, with whom she had two children - Antonina and Francis. She died in 1783.
