Kirsten Lee

Kirsten Lee is a Danish public health service officer and a member of Social Liberal party.

Kirsten Lee was born on December 15, 1941 in Ribe, Denmark, to Elnar Damgaard and Emma Damgaard Hansen.

She graduated with Doctor of Medicine degree from Boston University, in 1969.

From 1987 to 2000, Lee was Member Parliament Danish Fokleting, Denmark. 
From 1986 to 1997, she was Chairman of the pediatrics department at Hillerod, Denmark. 
In 1994, she received Tagea Brandt Travel Grant.
From 1997 to 2000, she was Center Director at the University Hospital in  Denmark.
Since 2003, she has been the Chief public health officer for the City of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Kirsten Lee is married to Niels Helveg Petersen; the couple has three children.
