Kingsley Suamataia (born January 18, 2003) is an American football offensive tackle. He played college football at Oregon and BYU.
High school
Suamataia grew up in Orem, Utah and attended Orem High School. In Suamataia's high school career he played in 27 games having 120 pancake blocks, a tackle, and a pass deflection. A five-star recruit, he received offers from programs such as Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Utah and USC. He ultimately committed to play college football at Oregon.
College
During Suamataia's first year at Oregon in 2021, he was redshirted and only played in one game. However, after the 2021 season on October 26, it had been reported that Suamataia had entered the transfer portal. On November 5, 2021, Suamataia decided to transfer to Brigham Young University. During the 2022 season, Suamataia played in 12 games starting in all of them, and he did not allow a sack on the season. He was also named to the Freshman All-America Second Team by the Athletic and by College Sports News, additionally he was named All-Independent First Team Offense by College Football Network.
Suamataia is already projected to be a first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft by multiple sources.
