Kibirige Desire Edward

Kibirige Desire Edward (born Busia, March 14 2003) is a Ugandan Poet, Novelist, short story writer, Essayist and playwright. He is a son to Kalule Peter, a businessman and Tukahirwa Naume a businesswoman who are traders. Kibirige Desire Edward is poet of hundreds of poems. His previous works include Miles Apart, Sunset Butterfly and Eight Days of Space. He is a recipient

 of different awards and honors. He compiled The Pearl, a poem-based anthology which was edited by Zziwa Timothy in 2023. Among his best-known works are Love’s Destination (2021) that was first published by Rakuten books; When I Meet My Death (2020), a death poem and his motivating poem, Life (2020). Although his reputation was not high at the time of his start, 2023 centennial of his birth was the starting point of a Kibirige revival, and Bard Diaries grew to be considered one of the great Ugandan Poetry anthologies.
