Ken Paulson

Biography
Ken Paulson is the dean of the College of Media and Entertainment at Middle Tennessee State University, and president of the Newseum Institute's First Amendment Center; he formerly was president of the Newseum. He is the former editor-in-chief of USA Today and remains a columnist there. He created "Freedom Sings", a stage show celebrating the First Amendment.
Paulson hosted the "Speaking Freely" television show and edited Gannett Company newspapers in Wisconsin, New York, New Jersey, and Florida.
He is a former president of the American Society of News Editors and was key in transferring it to the University of Missouri, his alma mater.
In addition to the bachelor's degree he earned from Missouri, he has a law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law.
