Biography

Keith Richards (July 18, 1915 – March 23, 1987) was an American film and television actor active from the last-1930s through the mid-1960s. From 1938 to 1962, he starred in over one hundred films and from 1950 to 1964, in over 70 television productions. He has also been credited under the names Keith Huish and Keith Richard.

Life and career

Keith Richards was born on July 18, 1915, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He made his screen debut in 1938 with a minor, uncredited role in I Met My Love Again, starring Joan Bennett and Henry Fonda. In the 1940s, he had small roles in several movies such as One Night in Lisbon (1941), West Point Widow (1941), Nothing But the Truth (1941), Birth of the Blues(1941), Pacific Blackout (1941), Night in New Orleans (1942), Henry Aldrich Gets Glamour(1943), Danger Woman (1946), Calendar Girl (1947), and Seven Were Saved (1947).

In the 1950s, he began his television career starting with the role of 

"Aramis" in the TV series The Magnavox Theater. He played, among others, Sheriff Pat Garrett in 3 episodes of the Buffalo Bill, Jr. series from 1955 to 1956 and made many other appearances as a guest star or performer of mostly minor characters in numerous episodes of various television series. Specifically, he was seen in many well-run, major western television series (and also movies) of the period.

Richards ended his television career playing Jim in the episode "God of Love" of the TV series This Is the Life (original title: The Fisher Family) which aired on April 19, 1964. His last feature film appearance was in 1962 in Edward L. Cahn's crime drama Incident in an Alley, starring Chris Warfield and Jacklyn O'Donnell.

Death

Richards died in Los Angeles, California, on March 23, 1987, and was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale. He was 71.
