Biography
Keaton Ellis is an American competitive speedcuber from Maryland. He attended River Hill High School in Clarksville, Maryland.
On 21 November 2015, he entered the River Hill Fall 2015 competition in Clarksville, Maryland, in which solved the single 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube in 5.09 seconds, breaking the previously held record of 5.25 seconds by American speedcuber Collin Burns.
Unfortunately, the record didn't last long. Later, the same day of the competition, another American speedcuber, Lucas Etter, set the world record for the fastest 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube single solve in 4.904 seconds, thereby rendering Ellis's record ineffective according to the official rules of the game.

Ellis is currently studying economics at the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland.
