Karl Wallenda

Karl Wallenda was a German-American high wire artist and founder of The Flying Wallendas, a daredevil circus act famous for their high-wire performances without a safety net.

Karl Wallenda was born on January 21, 1905.

Karl Wallenda was known for his death-defying high-wire performances and his ability to perform incredible aerial stunts without a safety net. He also held several world records for his high-wire walks, including one where he walked a wire stretched between the towers of the Condado Plaza Hotel in Puerto Rico.

Karl Wallenda died on March 22, 1978, during a high-wire performance in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He fell from the wire and tragically lost his life.

Karl Wallenda's legacy includes inspiring future generations of high-wire performers and pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the world of acrobatics. Despite the risks involved, he dedicated his life to his craft and paved the way for other daredevil performers to follow in his footsteps.
