Kari Coleman is an American film and television actress known for her roles as "Mrs. Stone" in Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous (2013) and "Whitney" in Switched at Birth (2013-2014).
Career
Coleman graduated from Eastern High School in Louisville, Kentucky in 1982 and later from Eastern Kentucky University.
She made her acting debut in 1991 in the TV movie Adventures in Romance. In the years 1992-93, she was seen in a few episodes of the TV series In Living Color and Married... with Children. In 1993, she played the character of "Allison" in three episodes of Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David's acclaimed TV series Seinfeld.
In 1995, she landed the recurring role of "Libby Desoto" in seven episodes of the TV series A Whole New Ballgame. Over the following years, she was seen in various episodes of several big-name TV series such as Mad About You (1997), Grace Under Fire (1997), Veronica's Closet (1998), The Jamie Foxx Show (1999), ER (2000), Veronica Mars (2005-2006), CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2010), Glee (2011), and Grey's Anatomy (2012).
Most recently, in February 2019, Coleman was seen playing the character of "Susan" in the "Caught Stealing" episode of the TV series The Rookie.
She had once also performed a fire-eating act with the comedy/magic duo Penn & Teller (Penn Jillette and Teller) in Las Vegas.
Personal life
Coleman is married actor/director Kyle Secor since 28 January 2002; the couple has two daughters.
