Biography
Karel Šatal (14. dubna 1915, Praha – 8. října 1942, Mnichov) byl učitelem na Gymnáziu Jana Valeriána Jirsíka a jako člen ilegální komunistické strany účastník protifašistického odboje, za což byl nacisty zatčen 17. března 1941 a osouzen k smrti 17. července 1942.
Gymnázium bylo po něm v období normalizace pojmenováno. Dnes je po něm pojmenována jedna ulice v Nemanicích.
