Juan "Juantxo" Madariaga Orbea (Madril, 1949) historialaria eta unibertsitateko irakasle ohia da. Filosofia eta Letretan (Historia Modernoa eta Garaikidea) lizentziatua (Madrilgo Complutense Unibertsitatea) eta Historian doktorea (Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea). 1976tik 2002ra bitartean irakasle izan zen Bergarako UNEDen eta bertako zuzendari 1990etik 1995era. 2000z geroztik Nafarroako Unibertsitate Publikoan izan zen irakasle.
