Biography
José Manuel Vasques is a football (soccer) coach and trainer. He has worked in the United Arab Emirates (UAE - Abu Dhabi), Kingdom of Saudi Arabic (KSA) and Portugal.
Vasques signed with Clube Desportivo Pinhalnovense, a Portuguese football club based in the town of Pinhal Novo, which plays in the Portuguese third division, for a few weeks during 2015.
Currently, José is keeping busy working as a Teacher in Portugal close to Lisbon, where he lives with his wife and 2 adult daughters.
Earlier career
His earlier career experiences were within Portugal, including Madeira. He played before progressing to coaching. He is also a qualified teacher.
He has a degree in Physical Education and a master's degree in Sports Coaching in High Yield from the Technical University of Lisbon.
Middle East career
He was Head Coach for Abu Dhabi-based Al Wahda FC Under 21 Team in 2014/2015. He took the team from low rankings in the UAE Arabian Gulf League to the top by season end .
Prior to the UAE, he worked with Jeddah-based Al Ahli Soccer Academy as Technical Coordinator and later as Coach.
