Jonny Bogris (born June 8, 1976) is an American actor and director known for films such as End of Days and One Eight Seven, as well as television projects NYPD Blue, Rake, and HBO's The Newsroom.
Early life and education
Bogris was born in 1976 in Orange, California and attended Villa Park High School in Villa Park, California. He went on to attend the University of California, Irvine where he majored in political science and drama.
Career
Bogris began his career while still in college, appearing in commercials for brands such as Pepsi, Kodak, MGD Beer, and Taco Bell. He worked his way into television and then into film, with roles in NYPD Blue and most recently appearing on Fox's Rake and HBO's The Newsroom.
He has written and directed independent films including T.A.To.E in 2002 and Le Shakedown in 2007. T.A.To.E was selected by Slamdance and Le Shakedown played at various festivals in the United States and Europe. He is currently in development on a feature-length project.
