Biography
John Joe 'Purty' Landers (23 April 1907 – 27 August 2001) was an Irish sportsperson. He played Gaelic football with his local club Austin Stacks and was a member of the Kerry senior inter-county team from 1928 until 1938. Landers and his two brothers, Tim and Bill, won twelve All-Ireland medals between them. In recognition of his skills and long-running contribution to the sport, Landers was awarded the 1985 All-time all-star award as no GAA All Stars Awards were being issued at the time of his playing career.
