Biography
Joe Salisbury (/ˈsɔːlzbəri, ˈsɒlz-/ SAWLZ-bər-ee, SOLZ-; born 20 April 1992) is a British tennis player. He is a doubles specialist who reached a career-high Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) world No. 3 doubles ranking on 10 February 2020.
He became the fourth British player to win a Grand Slam title in men's doubles in the open era, when he won the 2020 Australian Open with Rajeev Ram. His other career highlights include reaching the semifinal at the 2018 Wimbledon Championships with Frederik Nielsen; and five ATP Tour titles.
Tennis career
Salisbury made his ATP main draw debut at the 2014 U.S. National Indoor Tennis Championships in the doubles draw partnering David O'Hare, where they lost to the Bryan brothers in the first round.
He reached the semifinals in the 2018 Wimbledon men's doubles in partnership with Frederik Nielsen.
Playing alongside Ben McLachlan, he won his first ATP Tour title at the 2018 Shenzhen Open.
At Wimbledon 2019, he played alongside Rajeev Ram during the Men's Doubles. He made it to the round of 16.
