Jessica Chen (born 8 September 1988) is an American media entrepreneur based in California.
Chen is the founder and CEO of Soulcast Media, a business communications and media agency. Before starting Soulcast Media, Chen was a broadcast television journalist. She has been awarded an Emmy-Award for her work at ABC 10News.
Early life and education
Jessica Chen was born on September 8, 1988. She is of Taiwanese descent.
Chen attended Fudan University, Shanghai, China. Later, she studied humanities at the University of Cambridge, Cambridge, England, followed by a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from the University of California, San Diego.
Career
After finishing her education, Chen joined Shanghai Daily as a News Reporter in August 2008. She left after 5 months and in March 2009, became an Associate Producer at Fox 5 San Diego. After around 16 months at Fox 5, she became a News Reporter for KRNV News 4-Reno, an NBC affiliate for Nevada, for 1 year.
After a stint at News 12 Networks and Time Warner Cable, she became a News Reporter for ANC 10 News, where, in 2017, she won an Emmy Award for "It's More Than News" from the Pacific Southwest Chapter of the National Television Academy.
In May 2018, Chen founded Soulcast Media, a business communications and media agency.
