Biography
Jerzy Kostrowicki (born 27 January 1918 near Lida, died 11 July 2002 in Warsaw) was a Polish geographer.
Professor of Polish Academy of Sciences since 1954. Expert in economy, particularly agriculture. Deputy president of International Geographical Union 1976-1980. Honorary doctor of Western European universities and honorary member of foreign geographical societies. Visiting lecturer in North America.
