Biography
Jeroen Vierdag (born 1976) is a Dutch bassist and jazz musician. He plays the bass guitar and double-bass in a variety of styles, including pop, jazz, Brazilian and Latin.
Vierdag graduated cum laude at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, in 2000.
After completing his music education, Vierdag was a member of Amuedo Van Merwijk Vierdag Trio with Uruguayan guitarist Leonardo Amuedo and Dutch drummer Lucas Van Merwijk. In 2002, they released the "Live In Amsterdam" CD on Tam Tam Records.
Since then, he has played and toured with many artists from the Dutch music scene.
Currently, he is a member of The Ploctones with guitarist Anton Goudsmit, saxophonist Efraïm Trujillo, and drummer Martijn Vink. They have released at least three albums so far: 050 (2009), 3...2...1... (2011), and Ploc (2013).
He also plays with Francien van Tuinen, Ed Verhoeff, Amina Figarova, Bart Wirtz, Ferial and Nueva Manteca.
In addition, Vierdag teaches music at the Jazz and Latin department at the Rotterdam Conservatory.
