Jeff Pitchell

Jeff Pitchell (born April 11, in Hartford, Connecticut) is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, recording artist, instructor and actor. He leads the band Jeff Pitchell and Texas Flood performing original and classic rock selections. Based in Rocky Hill Connecticut Jeff has performed throughout the United States as well as Internationally. Jeff enjoys entertaining audiences with his high energy performance and regularly performs over 200 shows a year. Jeff has had a CD Heavy Hitter/Pyramid being listed on the national Billboard Charts as #7 CD on the Top Blues albums and the majority of the songs were written by Jeff. In addition, Jeff won the "Best Guitarist" in St of CT at tender age of 15... and as won numerous awards since. Among these awards, He won two song writing awards from the Great American Songwriting Contest and the International Songwriting Contest (ISC) where one of the judges John Mayall, renowned blues legend, recorded Jeff's song "An Eye for an Eye" on one of his albums. Jeff and his band, Texas Flood....won the BEST BLUES ACT in New England in a six state vote.

Background: Jeff earned early recognition for his guitar prowess at the age of 15 by winning the Best Guitarist in State of Connecticut contest held at the University of Hartford. Since then he has won numerous awards for his performing and recording. Jeff graduated with a teaching degree but after a few years of teaching realized his true passion was playing the guitar and entertaining people. Jeff and Texas Flood recently won Best Blues Band Show in New England.

Associations: Jeff has collaborated with many internationally recognized performers; Michael Allman (Gregg Allman’s son), Claudette King (BB King’s daughter), Sheila Raye (Ray Charles daughter, James Montgomery, J. Geils, Charles Neville, Carla Cooke (Sam Cooke’s daughter). He has performed with Gregg Allman, BB King, Phil Lesh (one of founders of Grateful Dead), Rick Derringer, Warren Haynes, Dickie Betts, Clarence Clemons and many other gifted musicians.

Performances: Jeff in 2014 performed Southbound with the Allman Brothers Band at the historic Beacon Theater in New York. This performance was recorded and released on Peach Records/Munck Music on 3/18/14. He has also performed and/or recorded with Phil Lesh (one of founders of Grateful Dead), Rick Derringer, Bo Diddley, BB King, Buddy Guy, Ted Nugent, Clarence Clemons, Dave Mason, James Cotton, Fabulous Thunderbirds, NRBQ, John Mayall, Jimmy Vaughan, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Peter Tork (MONKEES), Dickey Betts, The Commitments, etc. Jeff has appeared on national TV and radio, being asked by the World Champion Boston Red Sox to sing and play at Fenway Park, and being asked by Don Imus asked to appear on his radio and TV show on MSNBC.
