Jean-Michel Zecca is a Belgian-Italian presenter of Belgian TV born on 17 September 1968 in Charleroi, Belgium.
Biography
His beginnings
A native of Montignies-sur-Sambre, he started on RMS before joining Nostalgie Belgique then Chérie FM and NRJ.
Career at RTL
He joined the Bel RTL radio in 1998 in the team of Départ immediat.
In 1999 he started television in the Ca alors programme, presented by Jacques van den Biggelaar as a commentator with Nancy Sinatra, Bérénice (who was already his colleague in Chérie FM), Sandrine Dans or Sandrine Corman among others.
In September 1999, he presented the Ligue des champions on Club RTL and got into entertainment by hosting a candid camera programme called Si c'était vous during several years (where he played tricks on anonymous and celebrities during first season, then he was helped and replaced progressively by François Damiens and his character "François l'Embrouille" from season two).
He left the show in 2002 and was replaced by the duo Fabrice Brouwers and Sandrine Corman. He hosted another candid camera programme for a year: Souriez, vous êtes filmés, then, he presented the talk show Rien de personnel. Since 2003, he has presented the game show Septante et un during the week, before the 7 pm television news and he hosted some years the Miss Belgium Pageant.
From 2005 to 2008, he presented the Belgian adaptation of Fort Boyard. In 2014, he headed the programme Je le savais, broadcast in prime time on RTL-TVI.
