Biography
James Herbert Shinner (9 September 1877 – 10 November 1921), sometimes known as Bert Shinner, was an English professional football centre forward and full back who played in the Football League for Doncaster Rovers and Bradford City.
Personal life
Shinner served in the Royal Navy and laid mines during the First World War. He worked as a poultry farmer in the last years of his life.
