Silla on filmitegijana peale Eesti töötanud Suurbritannias Londonis ning Ameerika Ühendriikides Los Angeleses ja Utah's. Tema lühifilm "Mr Calliphor" sai 1996. aastal Boise'i filmifestivalil esikoha.

Silla on üks esimesi Eestis, kes on usutunnistuselt olnud mormoon.
