Izellah R. Connelly

Izellah R. Connelly is an Australian singer-songwriter with a background in musical theater. She is known for her songs and theater performances, especially in Matilda the Musical

Izellah was born on 26 October 2006 in Tweed Heads on the far north coast of New South Wales, Australia and lived the first five years of her life in the beach-side village of Fingal Head. Her grandfather John Patty came from Ambon, East Indonesia, where singing is still an integral part of every social occasion and most developed among Christians.

At age 5 Izellah became a part of St Hilda’s School’s Athena Program for children with particular talents and started taking singing lessons

At the age of 6 she successfully auditioned for her first role of Arun in Opera Australia’s production of The King & I, in which she gave 34 performances at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) in Brisbane, Australia

At age 7 she played the role Gracie Shinn in The Queensland Musical Theater Company production of The Music Man

At age 8 she also auditioned for the role of Gretl in the London Palladium production of The Sound of Music in which she performed 31 shows at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) in Brisbane, Australia

At age 10 Izellah took the converted role of Matilda in the Royal Shakespeare Company production of Matilda the Musical in which she performed 84 shows in Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Auckland.

At age 11 Izellah took a lead role as Grace in Universal Studio’s (Japan) annual Christmas spectacular ‘Voice of an Angel’, which had an international cast of around 50 people

Matilda the Musical

At age 10 Izellah took the converted role of Matilda in the Royal Shakespeare Company production of Matilda the Musical in which she performed 84 shows in Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Auckland On Adelaide’s opening night Izellah Connelly performed a leading role of Matilda (one of four Matildas).

In 2018, she transitioned from stage to studio, collaborating with notable songwriters and producers in Los Angeles and New York. At age 11 Izellah also made music videos for UNBEATABLE, Dreams Come True and a lyric video for If Every Day Was Christmas. The same year, Izellah took a lead role as Grace in Universal Studio’s (Japan) annual Christmas spectacular ‘Voice of an Angel’
