Isaiah Oggins

Isaiah Oggins was an American radio engineer and Soviet spy in the 1930s.

Oggins served as a deep cover agent for the Soviet Union in the United States, transmitting secret messages to Moscow and providing information about American industry and technology.

Oggins was arrested by Soviet counterintelligence in 1939, during Joseph Stalin's purges of the Soviet intelligence agencies.

Oggins was interrogated and tortured by the Soviet NKVD, and in 1947, he was executed by the Soviet Union on charges of espionage for the United States.

Oggins' story highlights the dangers and consequences of espionage, as well as the complex history between the United States and the Soviet Union during the mid-20th century.
