Isaac Newton Van Nuys

Isaac Newton Van Nuys was a prominent American businessman and real estate developer. He is best known for his role in developing the San Fernando Valley area in Los Angeles, California.

Isaac Newton Van Nuys played a major role in the development of the San Fernando Valley. He purchased vast amounts of land in the area and helped establish the town of Van Nuys, which eventually became a part of Los Angeles. He also contributed to the construction of the Los Angeles Aqueduct, which brought water to the San Fernando Valley and facilitated its growth.

Aside from his real estate ventures, Isaac Newton Van Nuys was involved in a number of business ventures. He co-founded the Los Angeles National Bank, which later merged to become City National Bank. He also served on the board of directors of various other companies, including the Southern California Gas Company and the Los Angeles Times.

Isaac Newton Van Nuys passed away on February 25, 1912 at the age of 75.
