Ian Frederick Gildart (born 14 October 1969) born in Ince-in-Makerfield, Lancashire is an English Maintenance engineer, and professional rugby league footballer of the 1980s and 1990s, playing at club level for Wigan, Wakefield Trinity, and Oldham Bears, as a Second-row, i.e. number 11 or 12, and assisting at Wigan St Patricks ARLFC. He is the father of Wigan Warriors centre Oliver Gildart
