Biography
Huib Ernste (Doorn, 23 augustus 1957) is een Nederlandse sociaal-geograaf.
Ernste studeerde sociale en economische geografie in Groningen, Bern en Zürich en is sinds 2002 hoogleraar Geografie, planologie en milieu aan de Radboud Universiteit te Nijmegen. Hij is tevens hoofd van de vakgroep 'Sociale Geografie' aan die universiteit. Hij publiceert vooral over sociaal-theoretische fundamenten van de sociale geografie.
