Biography
Walid Regragui (Arabic: وليد الركراكي; born 23 September 1975) is a Moroccan retired footballer who played as a defender, and is now the manager of Al-Duhail in Qatar.
Despite being born in France, Regragui was a full international for Morocco. His previous clubs include Toulouse, AC Ajaccio, Grenoble and Racing Santander. In the summer of 2009, he moved from Grenoble to Moroccan side Moghreb Tétouan for his last playing career.
After retiring as player, Regragui began with football coaching as assistant of Morocco's national team in September 2012. When the head coach Rachid Taoussi was sacked on 1 October 2013, his contract was also terminated. On 8 May 2014, he landed a head coaching job with Fath Union Sport for the 2014–15 season. On 22 January 2020, he left the club by mutual consent.
On 23 January 2020, Regragui was appointed as the head coach of Qatar Stars League side Al-Duhail, he came in to replace Rui Faria.
