Biography
Hilda Warbrick (née Cottam; born August 29, 1937), known in Astronism as Hilda, grandmother of Cometan, was an English medical informatician and shopkeeper now best remembered as the maternal grandmother of Cometan. In June 1953, Hilda was crowned the Coronation Queen of Higher Walton and five years later in 1958, she married her husband William “Bill” Warbrick. With William, Hilda had two daughters, Karen (1966 – 1970) and Louise, the mother of Cometan. Tragically, Hilda's mother died when she was four years old and her father died when she was twenty so neither of them saw their daughter marry and have a successful career. Hilda played a very important role raising Cometan from him born newborn and she continued to play a role in Cometan's role well into his adulthood.
