Highway Sisters is a country music duo based in the state of Texas. The band is composed of Amelia Presley (lead vocals,guitar) and KK Bodiford (lead vocals,guitar) (formerly Kristen Kissling).
Biography
Amelia Presley was born in Mobile, Alabama. She is a United States Coast Guard Veteran and cousin to Elvis Presley.
KK Bodiford was born in Topeka, Kansas and started her musical career as a finalist in the first season of Nashville Star alongside Miranda Lambert.
Highway Sisters originated from a band called The Highway Women in Dallas, Texas. The band was sold by its label to Presley's estranged manager and the then three women (Amelia Presley, KK Bodiford and Sara Spicer) were released from their contracts. Highway Sisters made their television debut on CBS's Great Day Houston while they were still named The Highway Women.Highway Sisters will perform with Jim Avett, father of The Avett Brothers in Septemberand will perform at Grand Ole Opry alongside Buddy Jewell, Darryl Worley and Dierks Bentley in October 2017.
