Herb Donaldson (born December 13, 1985) is an American football running back. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New Orleans Saints in 2009. He played college football at Western Illinois.
Donaldson has also been a member of the Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee Titans.
Professional career
New Orleans Saints
Donaldson was signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent following the 2009 NFL Draft. The Saints released Donaldson during final cuts on September 5, 2009, and signed him to their practice squad. The Saints released him from their practice squad on November 20, 2009.
Dallas Cowboys
He was signed to the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad on December 21, 2009, and he was brought back for the 2010 season. He was waived during final cuts on September 4, 2010.
Tennessee Titans
Donaldson was signed to the Tennessee Titans practice squad on September 7, 2010. He was released on September 2, 2011 and signed to the practice squad September 4, 2011
Donaldson was activated for 6 games during the 2011 regular season before returning to the Titans for the 2012 season. He was released at the conclusion of final cuts prior to the start of the regular season for 2012.
