Henry deCourcy Richards

Henry deCourcy Richards, or Henry deCoursey Richards, was an American architect who worked in Philadelphia. He designed numerous buildings that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places for their architecture.

He is also known as a "school architect," as he designed several school buildings in Philadelphia and in Roanoke, VA (Jefferson High School, 1920), Bridgeport, PA(1922) and Wayne, PA (1922). His work with schools is listed in the volumes published by Franklin D. Edmunds as The Public School Buildings of Philadelphia.

Richards appears sporadically in the Philadelphia city directories from 1908 to 1923, and his earliest listing in the Manuals of the City Councils of Philadelphia occurs in the 1906/07 volume, when he is listed as chief draftsman for the Board of Public Education.
