Hengihengi Ikuvalu (born 2 December 2002) is an American Samoan footballer who plays for Pago Youth FC of the FFAS Senior League, and the American Samoa national team.
Career
Youth
Ikuvalu plays for the school team at Samoana High School.
Club
At barely 16 years of age, Ikuvalu was Pago Youth FC's number one goalkeeper entering 2019 OFC Champions League qualification. He went on to start in the team's opening 1–5 defeat to Lotohaʻapai United from Tonga. Pago Youth failed to advance past the preliminary round after finishing last in the group.
International
Ikuvalu was a member of the American Samoa under-17 team that competed in the 2018 OFC U-16 Championship. He appeared in matches against Samoa and Cook Islands as the team finished second in the group and narrowly missed advancement.
He received his first senior international call up for the 2019 Pacific Games. He made his debut on 12 July 2019 in American Samoa's fourth match of the tournament, a defeat to the Solomon Islands. Ikuvalu started the match on the bench but came on as a substitute after Nicky Salapu suffered an injury. He produced a "stunning save" after coming on.
