Biography

Hans Gerhard Sørensen (født 7. januar 1923 i Stokke, død 1. juni 1999) var en norsk grafiker, tegner og illustratør. Han var gift med Brit Sørensen. Han ble utdannet som bokkunstner ved Kunstindustriskolen 1945–1948 og på Statens kunstakademi 1948–1950. Han er mest kjent for sine fantasifulle og folkelige tresnitt.

Sørensen har illustrert bl.a. Olav Duuns Menneske og maktene (1957), Jonas Lies Troll (1958), Petter Dass' Nordlands trompet (1962), flere bøker av Hans Henrik Holm, Aasmund Brynildsens Hudø (1974), Harald Sverdrups Gokstadskipet (1982) og Bjørnstjerne Bjørnsons Ord (1982).
