חגית סיון היא היסטוריונית ישראלית-אמריקאית, חוקרת העולם העתיק ופרופסור באוניברסיטת קנזס.

סיימה תואר ראשון בהצטיינות יתרה באוניברסיטת תל אביב (1976), תואר שני מאוניברסיטת ייל (1978) ודוקטורט מאוניברסיטת קולומביה (1983).

בין השנים 1983 ל-1993 לימדה באוניברסיטת ויטוואטרסראנד (University of the Witwatersrand) שבדרום אפריקה. בשנת 1993 החל ללמד באוניברסיטת קנזס.

מחקרה עוסק בהיסטוריה רומית, תחילת ימי הביניים ותחילת הנצרות, יהדות בעת העתיקה וחקר הנשים בעולם העתיק.
