Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary is an Indian politician representing Rajahmundry Rural constituency in Andhra Pradesh for the Telugu Desam Party. He is a senior politician who has won 4 times as an MLA (Member of the Legislative Assembly) and a founding member of the Telugu Desam Party. He is a very close aide of the late senior NTR (N. T. Rama Rao) and served as Cabinet Minister for Civil Supplies and implemented the much-appreciated 2 rupees/kg rice scheme. He currently lives in Rajamahendravaram and graduated from Andhra University.
