Biography

Gigi Stone Woods (born October 15, 1979) is an American television correspondent and anchor. She has been an anchor, host, producer and correspondent for CBS News, ABC News, NBC News and Bloomberg Television. At NBC News she is one of the alternating anchors on "Early Today" and MSNBC. At CBS News Stone Woods was an anchor for "CBS Moneywatch" appearing on "CBS This Morning" and local CBS affiliates across the country. At Bloomberg TV she created, co-produced and hosted the "Inspiring Women in Business" interview series. She was a co-host for "Bloomberg Enterprise," a TV show profiling and interviewing the CEOS of fast-growing companies. Stone has also worked as an anchor and correspondent on ABC News for "Good Morning America," "World News" and "Nightline," has anchored the news programs on WPIX-TV and NY1 News, and has hosted nationally syndicated lifestyle and entertainment shows. With an interest in women in business, Stone moderates panels for W.I.E. (Women, Inspiration and Enterprise) and PowerwomenTV. She is an on-air host and co-producer of "Hiring America," the first national TV series dedicated to helping military veterans find jobs.
Stone is listed as one of "The 10 Hottest TV News Anchors" on MTV's Guycode, complex.com, rantlifestyle.com, and wonderslist.com.
Stone works regularly as an on-air media trainer and TV consultant through her company StoneWoods Media. She works with performers, authors and business executives to help them shape their media message and improve their on-air performance.

Biography

Early life

Stone attended the Nightingale-Bamford School, and the Trinity School in New York City and learned to speak French and Spanish. Stone received a master's degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, where she won the John M. Patterson Prize for Best Television documentary. Stone volunteered in a Peace Corps-style program in South America, and is a graduate of the Outward Bound training school.

Early career

Stone's first major job was at WWAY-TV-3, the ABC affiliate in Wilmington, North Carolina, where she trained as a volunteer firefighter and battled a blaze as part of a news series.

ABC career

Stone has worked as a correspondent and anchor at ABC News. She reported for World News Tonight, Nightline, and Good Morning America. She worked as an anchor for World News Now and ABC News Now, the network's 24-hour news channel.

Stone has anchored and reported live, breaking news events including the death of Bin Laden, Presidential elections, and Hurricane Katrina. She has reported, written and produced investigative series on pension shortfalls, health insurance fraud and predatory lending practices.

Bloomberg Television career

Stone anchored and reported live from the scene of major breaking financial news events. They include Bernie Madoff's trial, various insider trading cases, corporate mergers and acquisitions.

Stone also serves as the co-host of "Bloomberg Enterprise," Bloomberg Television's weekly program profiling the CEOs of fast-growing companies.
